Well I'm writing this based on experience, I was there at amassoma alamieyeseya's home community.
If you've read about me you should know that I'm a student of NDU - Niger Delta University located at Amassoma town, Bayelsa state, Nigeria.
Generally there's this saying "a prophet is not honoured in his own place" but this man Late Diepreye Alamieyeseya a.k.a the governor General of the izon ibe is honoured in his home town, I'm not saying Everybody likes him but his lovers are more than his haters.
He died at age 63 in the portharcourt teaching hospital of heart attack.
Now to my experience at amassoma.
13th October 2015 was declared as a mourning day, to mourn late chief Diepreye, I was in school that day but many rumored that it was the whole of Bayelsa state but i was confined to amassoma that day and couldn't travel.
That morning my phones were off so i couldn't get pictures but all the villagers were on black shirts and trousers/skirts the women mostly were on tattered clothes. They were in groups each playing songs and talking about the late EX governor as they matched round the whole town crying and singing.

No activities were allowed that morning, no stores were opened, no bikes were riding out that morning, it was pure culture and the experience was cool.
I cried myself too, the youths were full of anger against the Ex governors enemies.
I couldn't say much but I know his people love him, I love him.
RIP to the Governor General Of the Izon Ibe.
